Cecily Fasham

Cecily Fasham is a fledgling poet and postgraduate student from a small town in Wiltshire, England. She studied for her BA in English literature at the University of Cambridge, where she discovered Bernadette Mayer’s Sonnets and — despite her best intentions — fell in love with experimental poetry. Though she considered specializing in medieval French, she ended up studying for a master’s in modern and contemporary literature at Oxford. In October 2022, she will be returning to Cambridge to pursue doctoral research into the modern lives of women’s sonnets. Her criticism can be found in The Cambridge Review of Books and Varsity, while her poems have been published or are forthcoming in DAISYWORLD magazineThe Mays 28 anthology, and WetGrain.
